Just be patient, I'm a work in progress

I had a busy Saturday today. Papa Peach is working nights this weekend. I figured I would try to finish up some quilting projects and clean the house. It turned out that I didn't finish up any quilting projects but did get the living room cleaned and some Olympics watched. When I say I cleaned the living room. I mean I cleaned  the living room, couch moving, floor scrubbing, down and dirty cleaning. Here is a picture of my doggie Daisy who can't stand the thought of a freshly vacuumed rug. She is my shadow when I'm home, poor girl misses me when I travel.

On the quilting front here is what I have in the works....
Hand Pieced Star Quilt
New Wave Quilt For Megan's Mystery Gender Baby
Mamie's Pink and Black Log Cabin Quilt
Ian's Wedding Quilt

The quilting I did today was on Ian's wedding quilt. The top quilting is taking much longer than anticipated. I am also still looking for blogger's for the blogger's block of the month project. Here are the fabrics I have been putting together for the project. Going with Pink, yellow and greens...still adding to the collection. Each participant will get some yellow green and pink fabric to create a block. Let me know if you would like to participate. I'm off to bed1

Greetings fellow bloggers (blogettes?bloggees?)....People with a blog to share! I am looking for people that would like to participate in a blogger block of the month. I will ship out fabric and in turn you will create a block and share the directions on your blog. I am looking to start up in September and ship out the fabric in mid to late August. Please leave a comment with an email address if you are interested or send me a message at dhiapeach@gmail.com. We can work out the details from there!

Of travel I've had my share, man. These blocks have been everywhere.

Finally I have the blocks for Margaret's Hope Chest in an envelope ready to go in the mail tomorrow. I intended to have them mailed off before the end of June but clearly that didn't happen. I took them with me on my world tour trip to New Orleans, LA then off to Hattiesburg, MS back to New Orleans, LA and on a plane to Richmond, VA. While I was in Richmond my mom and I made some red blocks. I hadn't planned on making more blocks and bought quarter yards of fabric so some of these blocks are 9" square instead of 9.5" square. I packed the blocks with me to Cleveland, OH and finally back to Milwaukee, WI. Tonight I am in Columbus, OH and as God is my witness the blocks will be mailed tomorrow. Here are some pics of the final product (20 pink/10 teal/10 blue/13 red). Blocks come together so quickly! I love them!
