Dots on Dots Blog Hop

This is the block I made for the dots on dots  blog hop. I used neutral fabrics for my background in various widths of strips. I cut 1.5, 1.75 and 2 inch strips. I paired like width strips, sewed them together, then cut 12.5 inch strips to create the background. I cut out various circles of dotty fabrics and wonder undered them to the background block. I hand stitched these since the machine wasn't working out for me. The final block needs a press and sadly i'm not in a position to do it. I am giving away the fat quarter pack of dotty fabrics below,  become a follower and leave a comment. Check out the other bloggers on the blog hope today.

UPDATE!!!!!

Here are some better pictures of my finished block that don't look like they were taken at a hotel bar after 15 hours of training (hypothetically!!!!) Also a close up shot. Thank you to all who provided comments on the block. The winner of the give away will be selected the day after the end of the dots on dots blog hop (Sept 21st) Sometime in the near future I am planning on making more of these, or making this one into a pillow.

  82. Hand stitched? That is a lot of work. I love idea and look of your block. I enjoy the gentle creams and wouldn't be sorry to see it without the circles. I like your entire color scheme and use. I think that is the hardest part.

  84. Dhia-The neutral colors you used for the background really make the circles stand out. The remind me of water cascading down a waterfall or bubbles because of their perfect round shape. I like that you block is so different from the bright colors used in most of the other blogs-it's refreshing. Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to win some dotty fabrics. From California.
