May Blogger BOM - Birthday Edition

Today is the May installment of Blogger BOM. ( It's my birthday and I'll quilt if I want to edition!) The presenter today is Felicity of Felicity Quilts! The block she created is called "Through the Window". This is an original creation and looks great alone or in a group. Felicity created a great tutorial here on her blog.

I'm a bit behind on my blocks but this looks like a great motivator to get back on track. I can't belive that we only have three months left. This has really flown by! Here is a peek at what these blocks look like all together from Felicity.

As always there is a great prize you can enter to win this go round. As previously hinted to it is my birthday this month. My sweetie bought me a couple mystery boxes from the fat quarter shop. They are here in town at the post office and I will have them today. Also I finally finished reclaiming the office from my fabric stash and compiling all my scrap-a-doodles into one big tub. The winner will get a grab bag of scraps from my stash and my new mystery boxes.

To win be a follower and leave a message below on how you like to use up your scraps. The winner will be picked on 5/25/13.

  2. You are drawing this on my birthday so maybe just maybe. I love working with scraps and try to put at least 5 tiny pinwheels into every quilt. Then there are pincushions.

  3. I use scraps in quilts and also sew them together and make new fabric to use on everything from critters to hot packs to bags. I guess you could say I'm a scrappy kind of girl.

  7. I keep every single scrap of fabric, quilting fabric is quite expensive! so I make good use of it for binding, for making small things, hexies, etc. Thanks for the giveaway. Love!

  9. Scraps are my favourite thing! I love the colourful random look of scrap quilts. Mine are going into an x and + block quilt. And other peoples scraps are more exciting than my own, like having a lucky dip!
