WIP Wednesday....back from vacation....

I was lucky enough to spend the last week in New Orleans having a great time and enjoying the warm weather (75+). Today it was back to work and back to reality. Well below freezing in Wisconsin. Here is my current work in progress via Margaret's Hope Chest. It's a block called fun in the middle that Carin created for the blogger BOM. This one is coming together pretty quick. I was able to use some of my favorite kids prints in this top.

For this top I have been "etch-a-sketching" the quilting. It is all staight line quilting but when I get tired of going one way to switch direction. For the backing I was lucky enough to find this awesome flannel which much like myself is cute, cheap and cuddly. I think after all was said and done I paid less than $3 a yard.

I am linking this up to Freshly Pieced.

  1. Lucky you having a holiday somewhere warm. Every time it seems that spring might be on the way the weather goes cold again. The quilt is very pretty and the backing looks very cuddly.

  2. Hi!!! Very pretty!!!! I bet it gives someone a lot of hugs!!!
