Blogger BOM - Feb Bonus Block!!!

Today is a bonus installment of Blogger BOM. We had so many great bloggers that we ran out of months and had to add some bonus blocks! The presenter today is Jennifer of Knotted Thread. The block she is showing us is called "Whirlwind". It makes me think of windmills and tulips and spring which is much needed this time of year! The beautiful tutorial can be found on Jennifer's Blog. She has a great blog and a super cute etsy shop with so many awesome fabrics at great prices. And because she is that kind of girl, Jennifer donated the block she made for the tutorial to the charity quilt for Margaret's Hope Chest.

As always there is a super give away! To participate make sure you are a follower and leave a comment on what valentines projects you are making for your sweetie this year. The winner will get this fat quarter pack from Jennifer's etsy shop. It's two yards of Riley Blake fabric. I'm not going to pretend I wasn't tempted to keep it myself. But I will be strong!!!

Giveaway open until 2/14/13

  4. I made a table topper for my formal dining room table. Then I made 4 placemats for my kitchen table and a hot pad. Now, I'm thinking of making two placemats for my neighbor and her hubby to make their Valentines Day sweet as well.

  9. Rosemary B here: (my kitties have a blog :-) ) well, your blog always inspires me. I get it in my email and every time I save it to my sewing folder.
Anyway.... this block is great. It looks fun.I bet it would look great for a quilt. I have never made a quilt, just little things

I made a valentine heart shaped mug rug for my hubbs. He works at home (gov't contractor so he is always on the phone with his coffee) He also has glaucoma and misplaces his cup because his vision is not so great, so I think the valentine perky colored mugrug will help him keep track of his cup. heehee

thanks for your amazing blog. I do not always comment, sorry but I always read it.
